Walking by Faith, Not by Sight

This favorite scripture came to mind as Adagio crossed the Chesapeake Bay from Solomon's Island on the southern tip of Maryland's western shore to St. Michael's on the eastern shore. We cruised northward in thick fog for nearly 50 miles, sounding our fog horn every 15 seconds and watching for other boats on our navigation software.

"His mercies are new every morning...," and we were greeted by bright sunshine the next morning as we toured St. Michael's. Talbot County, Maryland is the site of abolitionist Frederick Douglas' birthplace and a quintessential eastern shore town. It was a good day for a walk and a visit to the lovely Inn at Perry Cabin for lunch.

We enjoyed many happy times in St. Michael’s as well as Oxford when out daughter lived in Maryland. We love The Inn at Perry Cabin! Cheers! Angelyn

What a special place St. Michaels is. Some of your followers may remember my retired law partner, John Low. John & Elizabeth moved to St. Michaels 15 years ago and worship here at this Episcopal church. I hope you found the Maritime Museum close to the Inn at Perry Cabin--it's a former seafood processing plant complex, now a terrific set of exhibits. RLW

We are headed to the museum this afternoon and onto Annapolis and home tomorrow. Saint Michael’s is lovely, just as you promised.
